A blood relative died a couple of nights ago. Notice I did not say “family” member, because I trust God’s Word when it tells me my family are those that do the will of my Father in Heaven. That the “members” are my fellow members of Christ’s body. This relative was not my “family”. I have been away from my blood relatives for a long while, but felt the call from them to alert me to the death demanded a reply. I wanted to include my remnant brethren on this letter.
To All,
My letter is long. Please don’t allow it to meet you with anger or resentment on my part, but I would that you would bear with me a little while.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak: A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace.”
The acuteness of the above verses sting, penetrate, yea; mold me as I write this letter. In a few short days, you will all likely hear these words spoken over Great-Grandma as you huddle together in this, your time of weeping and consoling.
Of course, as you know, 2 nights ago, Great-Grandma died. The Lord, which giveth and taketh away (Job 1:21), and whom has determined the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), determined she would return to dust. Ecclesiastes 12:7 says, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
As a culture, we expect that the elderly shall pass away. Indeed, the mourning at a funeral, while somber, while sobering, lasts but for a short while and quickly life returns to normal with hustle, bustle, and distraction. Indeed, there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
Ecclesiastes 1:11 says, “There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.”
In other words, life (as we know it) goes on.
But let me remind all of a sobering reality:
It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Ecclesiastes 7:2
Hebrews 9:27 says “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
We will all die. Lay it to your heart today.
Now, this preacher man that stands before you all will offer you the Scripture above from Ecclesiastes, will pepper in “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…”, some lovely imagery of the jasper, onyx, and pearl gates of a gold-streeted abode in the sky; indeed, in His house are many mansions! You will, no doubt, receive an altar invitation to the basics of the milquetoast- interpreted gospel of John 3:16 with the resounding “You don’t want to go to that old, filthy, nasty, rotten, stinking Hell, do ya? Now accept Christ today and you can go to Heaven.” Yes, the “God loves everyone” “Joel Osteen” spirit is alive and thriving. And of course, you will hear how she is amongst heavenly harpists. “Look, daddy, every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings!”
I wish to appeal to the elect!
No doubt, many of you are aware that we have undergone a huge life transformation. Many of you likely know basics and many of you don’t care.
For 8 years, (my husband) and I attended a local church here that kept us busy. I was involved in every ministry they offered, quick to volunteer, and swallowing kool-aid by the gallons.
We thought being patriotic, political, spirit-filled Christians was Truth. We thought that all those that said they were “Christians” were actually our brethren, even Catholics and Mormons. And we didn’t even flinch when our pastor invited a Mormon to publically pray for our gathering, nor when he invited a Roman Catholic priest to represent the “Christian” viewpoint on stage, yoking up with a Muslim, that we may be enlightened towards oneness. We thought John 3:16 was an open-invitation to the entire world and all one must do is accept Christ, trust Him for your salvation today, altar call, immersion in water, grape juice, crackers, Merry Christmas! (sun god worship), Happy Easter! (fertility goddess worship)
Oh, how deceived we were! For the aforementioned “jesus” is a different jesus, warned against in Scriptures, which we were too Biblically illiterate to recognize when he was paraded in our face. You know, you’ve all seen him- it’s the blond hippy jesus portrayed in every picture we’ve ever seen of “jesus”. We were serving the (g)od of humanism, as is every pew warmer and unregenerate heathen in every whitened sepulcher in this literal God-forsaken town, state, country, world.
Humanism and what the world sees as “Christianity” agree that the end of all being is the happiness of man.
Truth, Scripture, the elect of God, dictates that the end of all being is the glory of God.
There is a difference.
Once the scales began falling from our eyes and we began addressing the utter hypocrisy of our church, we were asked to leave. Of course, Scripture warns there would be a time where people would not endure sound doctrine, but would heap to themselves teachers that tickle their itching ears, and through good words and fair speech deceive them. Romans 16:18 “For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
Jeremiah 5:31 “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so.” Indeed, they do.
This to say, the self-appointed preacher teacher who will stand before you is not bringing you Truth that will bear the fruits of repentance, nor will he be anything but “nice” and lie through his serpantile teeth that Great-Grandma sits upon the clouds.
How can they hear if no one tells them?
How can you all begin to understand the difference between the god sold at funerals, weddings, and Sunday morning dens of vipers and the One True God of Scripture? Those among you who are reticent to “believe” in God, I understand. The Truth is being made a mockery of and conversions are false. You and I both see the hypocrisy of those that label themselves as “Not of This World” and yet everything about them screams, “I Am of This World!” They’re liars, they’re deceivers, and they’re not even ashamed about it!
Proverbs 30:20 “Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.”
There is Truth, according to Scripture, and its fruits are obedience, death to self, daily cross, rejection by family and friends (the ones we don’t see coming), and tribulation.
There is the god of Humanism, and its fruits are worldly success and achievement, financial gain, looks, endless indulgence and sensuality, success, popularity, and notoriety.
Man…when you put it that way, huh?
I’m not going to appeal to you the way these wolves in the churches do. I’m not going to ask you to sow your seed gift today. I’m not going to offer you a prayer shawl and some holy water. I’m not going to ask you to “accept” Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” What fools who say the “natural man” can “accept Christ”! It is given of God both to will and to do of His good pleasure! Philippians 2:13
You see, we don’t pray a “Sinner’s Prayer” and get into Heaven. It’s not found in the Bible. We don’t “get baptized” at 3 or 34, and get into Heaven. We don’t “do good” (fill in the blanks: pay your taxes, don’t cheat on your spouse, don’t steal, give to the homeless guy on the street, etc) and get into Heaven.
Nope, you have zero say in it, just as Great-Grandma didn’t.
God does not love everybody and He does not choose everybody unto everlasting life (For many are called and few are chosen. Matthew 22:14) (Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. Romans 9:13)
Don’t like it? Romans 9:20 “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?”
Again, I’m not here to practice trickery and encourage you to “receive” Christ. I’m here for the elect. The Scriptures say His sheep will know His voice. And those not chosen from before the foundations of the earth to be conformed to the image of His Son: without anger, without resentment, without animosity, I dust my feet off, knowing you will receive in yourselves the recompense you are due.
I wanted to address the hypocrisy of the preacher man. I wanted to appeal to His elect sheep. And I wanted to explain that I believe it when the Scriptures say in Luke 9:60, “Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God”, which is why we will not be attending the “funeral” full of lies and hypocrisy and those pretending to dote upon the things of God out of political correctness, for I disdain Constantine’s “Edict of Toleration”.
I love you all and will not be “nice”, seeking to deceive you with fair words and good speeches. But I will be kind enough to bring you Truth in the midst of this present darkness.
